America Acosta serves as the business manager for our firm. America joined THE POLLARD FIRM, APC, in September 2019, and has had an immediate impact on the firm’s growth, commitment to serve existing clientele, and ability to reach new markets.
Prior to joining our firm, America served in several key managerial roles for both domestic and international retailers over the last 20 years. America began her career in management by becoming the youngest store manager for YUM! Brands, Inc. at the age of 21.
America earned her degree in Merchandise Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (F.I.D.M.) in 2008. During her free time, America enjoys cooking, baking new dishes, spending time with her children, and cheering for the Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim).
Aurora’s journey began in Mexico where she completed three years of law school in one of the most prestigious universities in Mexico City. Aurora left a promising law career to start all over in the U.S. where she mastered not only a new language but has continued pursuing her academic dreams. Aurora has under her belt two Associate degrees; One in Paralegal studies and another one in Mass Communications. She also received her Bachelor’s degree in justice administration, and is actively working on obtaining a state certification as Interpreter in the Spanish language. Aurora is an eager learner and knows how important education plays in someone’s life.
Aurora also volunteers as a Spanish interpreter for immigration detainees. This is particularly important to her as she feels the need to give back to her community because she has never forgotten her roots.
Aurora is also an avid reader, gardener and loves writing poetry and cooking for her family using her mother’s recipes. She loves nature and one of her favorites things to do is hiking and traveling the world with her husband and children whom she loves.
Laura Alvarado is a Litigation Paralegal at The Pollard Firm. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton, and later obtained her Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before joining the firm, she built a diverse legal background with experience in employment litigation, workers' compensation, and personal injury matters.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her dog. In her free time, she enjoys reading, practicing yoga, gardening, and watching movies.
Natalie Robinson serves as the legal clerk and executive assistant for the Pollard Firm. Natalie joined the team in April 2021 and contributed immensely with her strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Natalie presents an appetite to learn and the ability to effectively complete multiple tasks efficiently.
Natalie enjoys spending her free time at softball and baseball fields cheering her children on. When she is not in the stands or on the field, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, and the serenity of being in nature.
Danae joined The Pollard Firm, APC in February 2024. She graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor’s in Political Science. Prior to Danae’s legal career, she worked with immigrant youth and volunteered her time at a foster group home. Danae currently serves as a legal assistant for our firm where she prioritizes exceptional communication with clients on the phone and in person.
Some of Danae’s hobbies include spending time with family and hiking with her dogs. Danae enjoys visiting new coffee shops and trying new recipes.
